The Dead Weather are alive once more! A new full-length album has been announced for 2015 from Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence, and a hauntingly awesome new single “Open Up (That’s Enough)” is now available for listening.
“Open Up (That’s Enough)” marks the first new material from the band since 2010’s Sea of Cowards, and the jarring sexual intensity is as strong as ever. In a statement, Third Man explained the new songs as “unlike anything else the band has ever done and are both ample reminders of the ferocity of this motley collection of low-lifes, grifters and ne’er-do-wells. These songs are not throw-aways. These songs are not demos. These songs are not outtakes.”
Every quarter in 2014, Third Man Records will release a new 7″ featuring unreleased songs by The Dead Weather as part of their Vault subscription service.
