Governors Ball 2016: The Show Must Go On

Big Grams was another awesome Friday afternoon performance. This rather new outfit, comprised of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter of Phantogram and Big Boi of Outkast, have been making their way around the festival circuit this season. They bring a great energy to the stage and nicely compliment each other’s talents. Sarah with her beautiful airy vocals, Big Boi always keeps it classy with his verses, and Josh engineers the songs with outmatched precision. Plus, who isn’t going to love it when they play “Sorry Miss Jackson” and “Mouth Full of Diamonds” to close it all out!

Saturday on the other hand, was a tough one.

The same went for Miike Snow – you could hear fleeting notes from some of their hits like “Animal” and their new single “Genghis Kahn”, but that was about it. The rain was too strong for anyone to get close to the stage.
