Have you gotten “Don’t Wanna Fight” out of your head yet? No? Well Alabama Shakes is at fault, so it’s only right that they reset the palette with their new video/single “Sound & Color,” a visually stunning outer space journey.
Watch below as an astronaut travels through the galaxy in Major Tom level cocoon of lonely void. As memories of his wife and family flash through his mind, we watch our lone voyager interact with the cold, sterile florescent capsule around him, and are reminded of our own family connections. Those of us with children, with loved ones we hold dear, are often adrift and lessened by our disconnect from those which complete us. We can relate wholly to the terrible isolation he feels, and we won’t spoil the ending for you, but at his moment of great darkness, a new light appears for balance.
