A Chick In Washington Tried To Rob 4 Banks In An Hour

Lady, stuff like that only works in movies directed by Ben Affleck.

Let’s all talk about 22-year-old Suitland woman Jessica Williams. Williams is in the news because she actually attempted to rob four banks, yes four, in an hour. The chaos kicked off at 9:56 a.m. at a Bank of America branch when Williams walked in, waited in line and then handed a note to the teller that read, “This is a robbery. I want hundreds.”

The teller informed Williams that the bank did not have hundreds so Williams took back her note and left without cash. Awkward. But only two minutes later, Williams  walked into a TD Bank on the same damn block, and got the teller inside of there to hand her cash.

She wasn’t done there.

At about 10:45 a.m., a suspect went into the Citibank in the 3200 block of 14th Street NW in Columbia Heights, handed a teller a note that said, “This is a robbery I need what’s in the register.” The teller pressed the bank alarm and walked away from her station. Two of the witnesses followed the suspect out of the bank.

About four minutes later, the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank located in the 3300 block of 14th Street NW, passed a note demanding money, and again fled with no money.

But it wasn’t long until Williams was arrested as police arrived at the Citibank branch and witnesses pointed Williams out as police ordered her out of her car. Williams was arrested and charged with one count of bank robbery and three counts of attempted bank robbery.

But you have to give kudos to this gal for having the guts to pull this off. Or at least to try to pull off this dumb plan.
