The internet can’t seem to get enough of Instagram fitness models. From personal trainers to gym freaks to nutritionists, they’re all over the ‘Gram and no one seems to mind the view.

But the thing about these photos is that there’s always someone behind the camera. Instagram boyfriends stand by in anticipation of their girlfriends wanting various photos taken, and of course they snap the shots without a complaint.

One guy, though, got tired of it all and started his own Instagram account to bring balance.

Dude Hilariously Mocks Fitness Frauds On Instagram

Edward Lane is a real-life journalist from London, but on Instagram he goes by his alter ego “Wellness Ted,” an unqualified personal trainer and knowledge-free nutritionist, according to his bio. He’s out to to preach “wellness one self-important #wellfie at a time.”

His girlfriend is one of those fitness/wellness people too, and goes by the handle “Wellness Ed.” Edward’s account started after he got tired of being the man behind the camera. And so was born “Wellness Ted.”

That shit looks delicious.

In an interview with Mirror, Ted said he was over being behind the camera, so he took the initiative to start his own inspirational page. It’s worked out, too, because he’s gotten over 15,000 followers since April.

Ted posts videos and pictures that inspire guys like me to take care of themselves with the hottest new trends. Hotdog yoga is something I want to sign up for, like, yesterday.

And if hotdog yoga isn’t your thing, there are other trends that might be more up your alley. Perhaps you should try meditation while chugging beer and smoking cigarettes.

Obviously, he’s motivational because there are others like him. Just take a look at the time he got together with other inspirational fitness gurus for what was called the #wellnessmindfuck.

In the interview, Ted went on to explain that he honestly wants people to eat well and exercise, but the extent to which people will believe everything they see on Instagram has gotten to an insane point.

“Being healthy is good,” he said. “Taking 45 photos of your butt in different poses and repackaging it as a message about health is not.”

And if you think his girl takes offense to all this hilarity, think again. Based on the following post alone, they’re doing alright.
