Most happy people will tell you that at some point in their lives, they had a one-night fuckfest with either a guy or girl they met at a pub or at a Goo Goo Dolls concert and then left without ever getting that person’s name.

But you’d think that over the course of a 72-hour hump party, something like “Oh, by the way, I’m Tommy Gimler” would have found its way into a conversation.

Well, according to The Local, a woman had a three-night affair with a man at a German hotel in the summer of 2010, gave birth to a son named Joel nine months later and then decided to go back to the hotel and ask for one small detail about that man who she believed provided the seed: his name.  When the hotel told her to get bent, she filed a lawsuit that was finally settled almost seven years later.

Unfortunately for the woman, the court also told her to get bent, concluding that “the potential father’s right to self-determination of his own information – as well as his right to protect his family or marriage – took precedence over the woman’s right to child support and protecting her family.”

The woman allegedly told the hotel that she thought the man’s first name was Michael, but the hotel said they had four gentlemen named Michael staying at the hotel on those specific nights. Plus, the hotel suspected the woman did not actually have his correct first name, so they rolled the dice in a Munich court, where they agreed with them that the woman “did not provide enough information for the establishment to be certain about the identity of the man.”

And they say cheaters never win.
