A six-year-old girl in North Carolina recently ordered a $150 dollhouse and four pounds of Danish butter cookies on her parents’ Amazon Echo because I mean, why the hell not?

Well, when KXAN in Austin, Texas ran a story about it and the danger of not protecting your Echo with parental controls and a confirmation code, several viewers said their Echoes picked up the audio from their televisions and began ordering dollhouses as well.

Anchor Sally Hernandez was quoting the North Carolina girl Wednesday morning when she said “Alexa can you please order me a dollhouse and some cookies,” and that was apparently enough to send some viewers’ Echoes into shopping mode. The viewers said they were quickly able to cancel their orders, but the mother of the six-year-old sweetheart wasn’t as lucky.

“I immediately tried to cancel the order and Amazon wrote me back and said we can’t cancel it. It has already shipped,” Megan Neitzel said.

Neitzel and her family seem like charming people, and they plan on donating the dollhouse once it arrives. They’re going to keep the cookies, however, and that’s probably because they sound fucking delicious. And hey, at least their daughter didn’t order this doll.
