This Kid Was Actually Suspended For Taking One Extra Nugget At School

Remember that fake story a while back about the dude who smuggled chicken nuggets in a condom and put them up his butt? Man, that sure was a good laugh. This story, though, this story is either hilarious or just sad. Probably both. Although, hilarious and sad are two words that describe today’s school system. Boom.

Perhaps high school senior Carson Koller thought nuggets were a food that was going extinct soon, so he decided to snag an extra one. But regardless, Farragut High School in Tennessee actually decided to suspend him for one day following his “horrific crime.” This is what happened.

Koller  was suspended for theft of property after, and listen to this, he took six chicken nuggets from the lunch line instead of the usual five. My God, this guy needs to be locked away.

“How is it theft if he paid for it?” Carrie Koller Waller, Carson’s mom wrote in a Facebook post. “It’s food. FOOD!!! Not weapons. Not drugs. Not alcohol. Not cheating on a test. … I am shaking my head over this and not sure what to do. Laugh, punish, argue, dress him up as a nugget bandit, or let it go.”

The nugget bandit is clearly a McDonald creation that never got pass the initial drawing phase.

But good news for Carson, the suspension was rescinded just one day later after Carson’s mom sent a letter to school administrators.

“I know it wasn’t your intent to overcharge Carson and I know it was not my son’s intent to steal an extra nugget from you,” the letter, which she posted to Facebook, read. “He was hungry. He took six total nuggets. He entered his number, and the cashier rang him up. The cashier then realized Carson had more food than what she calculated. He entered his number again and paid the additional charge. Everything on his tray was paid for prior to walking away. He was then asked for his name and told to sit in another area and speak to the principal.”

It’s quite baffling that this poor lad was actually suspended for taking one extra nugget, and even more baffling that a mom had to waste her time writing a letter to a bunch of idiots that have been allowed to run a school.
