Charlie Sheen Really Wants To Throw Out The First Pitch Of The World Series As Ricky ‘Wild Thing’ Vaughn

Don’t look now, but the Cleveland Indians are headed to the World Series for the first time since 1997 — the same World Series where they lost a heartbreaker in Game 7 to the Florida Marlins. And they will be facing the Los Angeles Dodgers or The Chicago Cubs in which should be a fantastic series regardless. But what would make this even more fantastic? Oh, I don’t know, what if Charlie Sheen threw out the first pitch as Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn?

The “Wild Thing” is of course a character made super popular by Sheen in the 1989 classic Major League – one of the best baseball movies ever made. Sheen’s character had the talent and the amazing fastball, but unfortunately he didn’t have the command.

In the film, Vaughn helps the Indians win the World Series, so of course Indians fans want Sheen to throw out the first pitch as his famous character, as a social media movement as begun to get that to happen. And what does Sheen think of all this? Just take a look at what he tweeted in response:

So obviously this now needs to happen, and Major League Baseball needs to make it so. I mean, sure, the thought of a team that hasn’t won a World Series in over 100 years reaching and winning the World Series is good television, but Sheen out there as “Wild Thing” is a tad better. Am I right or am I right?
