It was inevitable. With virtual reality porn being a major driving force in getting people interested in the technology, it was only a matter of time before someone somewhere took it all a step too far. That “step too far” is a full-body VR sex suit, which allows wearers to simulate sex by way of a pair of disembodied breasts floating above their stomach, along with a “pump” that, as you can probably imagine, goes to work on your nether regions while you’re watching a porn clip using the Samsung Gear VR.
The suit, which looks objectively ridiculous, was manufactured by Japanese firm Tenga, who have branded it the ‘Illusion VR.’ The “illusion” here is probably that when you strap yourself into it, you think you’re doing something marginally sexy, when in actually you’re being wanked off by a robot arm while you’re dressed up like a ping pong ball.
Illusion VR works by pairing a Gear VR with a haptic feedback suit that is intended to create the feel of human touch – if, y’know, humans required you to dress up like a horny ninja beforehand.
