Watch Air New Zealand’s New ‘Men In Black’ Themed Safety Video

Air New Zealand are renowned for their high-budget in-flight safety videos, especially their brilliant take on The Hobbit. This time around, the airline is using Men In Black, rugby union players and an old Will Smith tune to keep passengers safe and sound.

Air New Zealand’s newest safety video, titled “Men In Black: Safety Defenders”, sees All Blacks Richie McCaw and Dan Carter play agents tasked with explaining those monotonous-but-necessary plane safety procedures, with fellow rugby player Israel Dagg rapping the instructions over a remix of the Will Smith track Men In Black.

And what would an Air New Zealand video be without cameos? This clip features Australian-New Zealand singer Stan Walker, Men In Black‘s Agent Zed (Rip Torn) and Frank The Pug, as well as former international union players Martin Johnson and Agustin Pichot and Australia’s David Campese.

Air New Zealand’s Men In Black video follows previous in-flight safety clips featuring the crew wearing only body paint, 2012’s The Hobbit-inspired masterpiece, and 2013’s bizarre Bear Grylls-starring video. Last year, Air New Zealand pulled a safety video featuring Sports Illustrated models when a petition was launched against its “sexist” content.
