Northside Festival is Brooklyn’s answer to Austin’s South By Southwest (SXSW), but without the cool acronym. Now, in its ninth year, this “discovery” festival will take place June 7-11 across a variety of venues in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
Like SXSW, Northside Festival is broken up into parts, with the the Innovation section running from June 7-9. Among the keynote speakers participating in panel talks, keynotes, pitch competitions, and networking events are New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, journalist Glenn Greenwald, and reps from Vice, VOX, Vimeo, Buzzfeed and many more.
The second-half of Northside Festival (June 8-11) will focus on music, with live performances from an eclectic lineup of national and local acts headlined by Dirty Projectors, Miguel, and Kamasi Washington.
Music badges for Northside Festival are $75. Innovation badges are $499. Single-show tickets are also available for music. Go HERE for tickets and badges. Check out the full line-up poster below:
