2017 Chicago Auto Show: ‘Midnight’ Strikes for Six Nissan Models

It’s getting dark early over at Nissan, and the Japanese automaker made sure everyone knew about it at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. The company will issue new Midnight Editions for six of its top selling vehicles — the Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder. The improvements for each are cosmetic, but the move introduces new appearance trims for potential buyers.

Regardless of model, the Midnight Edition introduces black aluminum-alloy wheels and black exterior accents to the vehicle’s aesthetics. The Midnight features were originally offered only on Maxima SR Midnight Edition. Of course, the overall styling is based in a deep, non-metallic gray for all the Midnight models — with the darker accents playing around the edges.

There’s no word yet on if buyers will ever see the Midnight aesthetic coming to the Nissan truck line. For now, the 2017 Midnight Edition models are available at Nissan dealers nationwide or via bespoke ordering and pricing services via the Nissan website.
