A Pair Of Nike’s Back To The Future-Inspired Mag Sneakers Has Sold For $104K

It’s now possible to own a pair of Marty McFly’s self-lacing sneakers from Back To The Future, with Nike commissioning the manufacture of 89 pairs of the shoe which they’ve called the Nike Mag.

Over the weekend, a pair of the shoes went under the hammer at a Hong Kong auction house, and ended up fetching a handsome sum of USD$104,000, making it the most expensive pairs of shoes of all time according to Dragon8 Auctions.

Nike has been working with the Michael J. Fox Foundation, who are fighting for a cure for Parkinson’s disease – a condition that Fox himself suffers from.

The remaining pairs of the Nike Mag have been given away in a lottery, with all ticket proceeds going to Fox’s charity.

Watch Fox talk about the shoe in a video message, below.
