A Map Of The Most Redneck States In America

We wanted to prove scientifically that you could determine the level of redneck in each state. So we came up with some variables: Walmarts and mobile homes per capita. We combined these two statistics and determined each state’s Redneck Score (patent pending). What we learned was that your neck doesn’t have to be red to be a redneck. It’s a lifestyle, much like noodling for food. Mississippi, congratulations on finally being No. 2.

Alabama: 16.3 + 16.67 = 32.97

Alaska: 6.8 + 9.5 = 16.3

California: 4.4 + .5 = 4.9
