Pornhub has produced a study that reveals women prefer watching lesbian porn to straight porn… and also prefer watching gay male porn to straight porn, too.
The surprising statistics were published in a study in collaboration with Buzzfeed, revealing the viewing habits of both males and females on the porn site. While the “Teen,” “MILF” and “Mature” categories were favored by male viewers, “Lesbian” and “Gay (male)” topped the list when it came to female viewers.

The top searches for females were “lesbian” and “threesome,” while “teen” and “milf” yet again topped the list for males. Oddly, “massage” ranked highly for both males and females, reaching fifth place. I guess a lot of porn viewers have back problems.
Meanwhile, the category “For Women” is viewed by women 193% more than it is by men, which stands to reason, really. More surprisingly, lesbian porn is viewed by women 132% more than it is by men, despite it also being a typical male fantasy.
So, why is gay male porn so high on the list for females? It could well be that straight porn typically caters towards a male audience, thus making females uncomfortable with viewing it. We’d also wager that gay male porn is likely aimed at males too, though, so we’re not really sure of the reasoning behind it being so appealing to women. Unless you know a female who will happily discuss the benefits of watching gay porn from a woman’s perspective, you’re probably just going to have to chalk this one up as another of life’s mysteries.
