Paris is the great-granddaughter of the hotel magnate, Conrad Hilton. At 19, she became a model with Donald Trump’s modeling agency where she appeared in ads for Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior and Guess. She grew up in both New York and Los Angeles, residing in several homes, including “a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel” (askmen.com).

Even before the release of her sex tape with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon (which would end up becoming the porn sensation “One Night In Paris”), the media called her “New York’s leading It Girl” in 2001. But it was the sex tape that brought her mainstream fame.

Paris Hilton has appeared in “The Simple Life,” “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF,” “Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend,” “The World According to Paris” and “The Hottie and the Nottie,” among other projects. She also wrote an autobiography “Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-In-Chic Peek Behind the Pose.”

Aside from her entertainment endeavors, Paris Hilton is also a brand. Stores the world over carry her fragrances, footwear, watches and handbags. She said, “People think I’m stupid. But I’m smarter than most people.”

Her history is filled with drama. She’s been pulled over for driving with a suspended license; she’s been arrested; she’s had to complete a drug abuse program. A fun fact is that Paris Hilton’s eye color is brown, though she sometimes wears colored contacts to change them to blue.

In 2004, she established her own record label, Heiress Records and her own album reached Number Six on the Billboard 200.

In an interview in 2011, she was asked if she was worried about her “moment being past,” and she walked out of the interview.

Paris Hilton has been romantically linked to a variety of men, including Jared Leto, Matt Leinart, Fred Durst and Val Kilmer, among others. She said in 2011 that she was troubled to find herself alone at 30. “When I was a little girl, I always imagined I’d be married with kids by now. It’s not where I thought I’d be. I’m 30, and I’m by myself.” She added, “I want to be married and pregnant in two to five years, but first I have to work through my trust issues.”
