In 2008, Kate Upton fell into modeling when she responded to a casting call for Elite Model Management. Kate was signed by them the same day.
While Kate Upton first modeled for Damien Haumpy Garage and Dooney & Bourke, it was her job as the face of Guess that put her into the mainstream. In 2011, she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue as "Rookie of the Year." Even more enticing, she was featured wearing only body paint.
Kate Upton went on to model for Beach Bunny Swimwear and Victorias' Secret. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she said, "To me, what's sexy is when you look like you're having a good time. That, and when you look effortless and have messy hair."
Her popularity increased in 2011 when she was videotaped dancing the Dougie at a Los Angeles Clippers game. The video went viral. Kate Upton later appeared in a video performing the "Cat Daddy" by The Rej3ctz.
Kate Upton added "actress" to her resume with her appearance in the film "Tower Heist" as Mr. Hightower's Mistress. She later appeared as Sister Bernice in "The Three Stooges."
More recently, Kate Upton appeared on the cover of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
In 2012, Darren Rovell, a married CNBC sports business expert, got on one knee and proposed to Kate Upton during her appearance on his show. She politely turned him down.
When asked about breasts in an interview with Esquire, she said, "I don't really know what the appeal is about boobs. But I do know that when I was in junior high, I used to be made fun of " for being flat chested. Everyone would go, 'She's not pretty! She doesn't have boobs!' So I always had boob envy. And when finally I went through my growth spurt and they appeared, and I just loved them. So that's why I like boobs, because I didn't have them, and then I got 'em."
When asked if it was possible for an ordinary guy to pick up a supermodel, she said, "I don't think it's impossible. You don't sit there and go like, 'I'm only gonna date this kind of person.' At least I don't.I like to think I have a normal wish list."
Kate Upton told Access Hollywood she likes "nice guys who are confident. My height would be nice." Kate Upton resides in New York City.
