She is an actress probably best known for her roles on "Battlestar Gallactica" and the remake of "Hawaii Five-0." Her acting career came slowly. Grace Park's feature film debut was in 2000 with an appearance as a dancer in "Romeo Must Die." When she was 25, Grace Park appeared on the Canadian teen soap "Edgemont." Other small roles followed on shows such as "The Immortal," "The Outer Limits," "Dark Angel," the movie "West 32nd" and the video game "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars."
Grace Park also appeared in the short-lived series "The Cleaner" and "The Border."
She said regarding a sex in "Battlestar Gallactica," "I had to do this one sex scene for 'Battlestar' that wasn't a bedroom scene. It was outside in a forest under a lightning-and-thunder shower. I was like, 'So you want some crazy forest sex? Okay, I gotcha.' In the end, they had to totally edit it down and take out all my moaning" (maxim.com).
Grace Park was named at number 59 in Maxim's Hot List 2011. She is married to Phil Kim, a real estate developer.
Grace said the craziest thing she ever did on a date was "probably cutting the lobby of the Wickaninnish Inn buck naked except for a yellow rain jacket and rubber boots, stripping down and jumping into the ocean right in front of the hotel."
When asked if she ever thought race was an obstacle in her career, Grace Park said, "I haven't found that at all but it wasn't like when I turned 20, I turned Asian. I found that I didn't realize some of my beliefs until I went to another country. I went to Hong Kong for a year and was in a fashion show and I'd say 80% of the girls were Chinese. I thought, 'That's weird!" I was so used to being the token Asian. There was this realization that I was in the majority, after I hadn't realized I was the minority" (afterellen.com).
Grace Park is currently on "Hawaii Five-O," playing Kona Kalakua, a champion surfer in the police academy. She lives in Hawaii while they shoot the season. While she has a Twitter account, Grace Park does not use it with any frequency.
