Eva got her first role as host of a television segment, "LA in a Day." She then went on to land guest appearances on daytime soap operas, Beverly Hills 90210 and General Hospital. Then in 2001, she landed her first big role on The Young and the Restless until 2003.
Later in 2003, she was picked up as a lead part of ABC's monster show, Desperate Housewives. In 2006, she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress at the Golden Globes. Later that year, she made her film debut in The Sentinel alongside Michael Douglas.
In 2002, she married Tyler Christopher of General Hospital, but was divorced in 2004. She was then married to NBA point guard, Tony Parker, of the San Antonio Spurs in 2007.
In 2006, Longoria founded a charity for children with disabled development, Eva's Heroes. She has been diagnosed with ADHD herself.
Longoria has also made a successful living as a model, appearing across the covers of women's magazines, including Vogue and Marie Claire.
In 2008, she was named one of the world's sexiest women by FHM and received the top spot for Maxim's Hottest Female Stars in both 2005 and 2006.
In 2008, Eva opened a restaurant in Hollywood named Beso.
In 2010, Eva and Parker filed for divorce, and in 2012, Longoria confirmed that she was dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.
She released her first book, Eva's Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends, was released in early 2011.
After Desperate Housewives ended in May 2012, Longoria picked up an indie role in Long Time Gone and a role in a historical drama, Four Kings, alongside Brendan Fraser.
