She graduated from University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor in telecommunications and as a member of the Gator's dance team.
Immediately after graduation, Andrews landed her first job at FOX Sports Florida as a (freelance) report. She spent the following two years working for the Sunshine Network as a Tampa Bay Lightning reporter, then moved to Atlanta to cover local professional teams for the following two years.

Climbing the ladder, Erin made her way up to ESPN as a reporter for the next eight years, covering a wide range of sports: baseball, football and hockey, from little league to professional. She left ESPN in 2012.
She also stepped outside her role in sports. Andrews appeared as host of the ESPN National Spelling Bee from 2008 to 2010, joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars in 2010 and was a Good Morning America co-host from 2010 to 2012.
Erin is a spokesperson for Feeding America, a campaign that raises money for feeding the hungry.
Andrews has a history of privacy invasion. In 2008, she was filmed through a peephole in her hotel room. In 2012, she received death threats via Twitter.
