Seren Gibson landed in the modeling world after being discovered on her MySpace blog “Accidental Glamour Model.” She became a model, initially, to pay off her student loans as a Media Studies student at Goldsmith College, University of London. She’d actually never considered becoming a professional model before.
In 2007, Channel Four asked her to be part of a documentary as an aspiring model called “My Crazy Media Life.” She appeared with her family in their rural North Wales home, where she still lived at home in order to afford going to school.
As for her social life, when asked, Seren prefered a night out as opposed to a night in.
She said in a recent interview with The Times that she thinks women have started to objectify themselves “on a day to day basis, via Facebook, via Instagram.” She added, “Social media is full of girls pouting in shots they have taken themselves – perpetuating the male gaze themselves. It’s that ingrained in us now...Objectifying yourself has become synonymous with our generation.”
Seren Gibson resides in London and still models.
