Born in Gold Coast, Australia on July 2, 1990, Margot Elise Robbie was raised on her grandparent's farm. It didn't take long, however, before she was bitten by the acting bug, and she soon began to take it up professionally in her teens. She attended Somerset College and moved to Melbourne soon after in pursuit of her dreams. It wasn't until 2007 that her acting career officially began, when she was cast in two films by director Aash Aaron, "I.C.U." and "Vigilante." At the time of being cast, she didn't even have an agent.
Her career really began to pick up steam in June of 2008, when she was cast as Donna Freedman on the popular Australia soap opera, "Neighbours." Even though she was only supposed to play a guest role on the series originally, it was soon extended to series regular status. She left the show in 2010, but not before walking away with two Australian Logie Award nominations: one for "Most Popular New Female Talent" and the other for "Most Popular Actress."

Now having some free time on her hands, Margot set out for the U.S. where she auditioned for a role on the reboot series "Charlie's Angels" in 2011. Instead, however, the producers felt she would be perfect for a role on another upcoming ABC series, "Pan Am." With her career now in full swing, it wasn't long until she was cast in Martin Scorsese's newest film "The Wolf of Wall Street" alongside veteran actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
In her free time, Margot is a bit of an adventure seeker. In fact, when she turned 18, she treated herself by going skydiving for the first time. Some of her other favorite hobbies include snowboarding and surfing.
