Growing up, she was an only child, mostly raised by her father outside of Saratoga, "doing martial arts and snowmobiling. I wore sweaters, jeans and sneakers. I was more interested in four-wheeling in the Catskills than doing my hair and make-up at 7 a.m. before school" (nypost.com).

JWoww attended Columbia High School in East Greenbush, New York. She later graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a 3.92 GPA, with a degree in programming and a BFA in fine arts and animation. Her first job was painting a mural in the Grimaldi's in Queens.

But it was her appearance on MTV's "Jersey Shore" in 2009 that catapulted her from anonymity into stardom. The show drew under 9 million viewers per episode, making it the highest-rated series in MTV history. She and seven other housemates lived in Seaside Heights, New Jersey and basically went out and partied while cameras filmed them. The second season was filmed in Miami, Florida; the third season came back to New Jersey; and the fourth took them to Florence, Italy. She said, "Nobody knew what the 'Jersey Shore' was going to be, especially not us."

JWoww admitted to getting breast enhancement, though she has denied getting a nose job and chin lift. Her measurements are 36D-24-36.

With her newfound fame, she launched a clothing line "Filthy Couture," but after four months the line ceased due a threatened trademark lawsuit. She also has a line of tanning products with Australian Gold. She has earned $12,000 for club appearances.

In 2010, she released a book called "The Rules According to JWOWW." JWoww said, "I wrote the entire thing. I spent a good six weeks writing until 5 in the morning. It was therapeutic." In 2011, she launched the website JWOWW.com. And in 2012, she starred in an MTV spin-off "Snooki & JWoww."

She is engaged to Roger Mathews and wants to get married in Las Vegas. "Of course [I'll film it]. I want it to be in Vegas.I want everything white with pink and black accents, that's all I know" (hollywoodlife.com).

After Hurricane Sandy destroyed their home, JWoww and Roger confirmed they live in Toms River, New Jersey, a short drive from Seaside Heights.

JWoww is a strong supporter of gay rights and said, "Stop hating people."
