As a child, from ages 7 to 14, Emily Blunt struggled with stuttering. She said, "It was miraculous how I never stuttered on stage, but if you're a stutterer you always have it and I still have it " on the phone or if I'm really tired and trying to relate a story."
Emily Blunt has also been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. In school, "I definitely wasn't in the cool gang, but I wasn't in the geek squad either, I was neutral " like Switzerland. I'm not in a clique now.I think they're unhealthy" (seventeen.com).

For her role in "Gideon's Daughter," she received a Golden Globe. And in "My Summer of Love" she spent most her time naked. "I'm really proud of it. It's not like any other movie. It's as simple as making a choice to have that or not, for me.if you become insulated like that, does your curiosity cease to exist? That frightens me. I don't ever want to lose being curious. The world is a very beautiful place and you miss everything if you become like that" (movieline.com).
Even with all her success, Emily Blunt said, "I didn't have a burning desire to act. When I was three years old, I didn't want to be an actress " I wanted to be the tooth fairy. So it is bizarre how it happened. But when it did I embraced it."
