Though Danielle Nicolet was born in a working-class town in Ohio, she moved with her family to Southern California to train as a gymnast. She trained throughout her childhood, but after her knees went bad, she segued to her real passion: acting. She’s been acting since she was 16. She said, “I’m from a small industrial town in the Midwest, and it’s not a place where the arts are encourage in kids.”

Danielle Nicolet wrote on Twitter that she is an “Occasionally clever actress and doer of other stuff.” A bit of trivia: her favorite director is Billy Wilder, and she is a huge sport fan.
Danielle Nicolet said in an interview with planetfury.com that she often finds when she’s on set that she is the only person of color and “it makes me very sad. Sometimes the studios and networks think that if they put one person of color, any color, in their project, that it makes it ‘diverse.’”
Her advice for people starting out in the entertainment industy is “know who you are…figure out your strengths and capitalize on them.”
Her inspirations were both of her grandmothers. “They are two of the strongest women I have ever known. They taught me that its possible to love fully and be tough at the same time. I’m inspired by anyone who overcomes adversity in life and thrives!”

Born Daniele Diggs, Danielle Nicolet is an American actress. She has appeared in a variety of projects, including “3rd Rock From The Sun,” “Family Tools” and “Family Matters,” as well as many video game voice work. Most recently, she booked a role on BET’s dramedy “The Game,” playing the role of a physical therapist.
