She began competing in pageants when she was nine years old up until she was seventeen. Crystal landed in the pages of Playboy after being discovered at a Hooters restaurant by Holly Madison.
As for her mother being a fellow Playmate (August 1968), Crystal said, “I just always knew and it was the coolest thing in the world. Out of my four sisters, I was the only one who wanted to duplicate the same pose my mom did in her issue…I truly feel that it was my destiny!”
Crystal McCahill has also appeared on the series “The Girls Next Door,” as well romance novel covers from Sourcebooks including “A Royal Pain,” “Savage Hunger” and “A Lady and Her Magic.” As for modeling for romance covers, she said, “The best part is getting into the role of the character. It’s like playing a princess from a faraway land.” She sad the hardest part was “getting very close with boys I just met. Believe it or not, I’m a very shy girl when it comes to things like that.”
Her ambitions were to further her modeling career, fall in love, get married and have a big family; her turn-ons are “guys who are romantic, ambitious, confident, independent and can make me laugh"; her turnoff are "bad breath, laziness, cheaters, people who are too needy and immature."
In 2009, Crystal McCahill was arrested in Chicago for driving under the influence, as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
A bit of trivia: she is a vegetarian because “I love animals and I can’t eat something I know has been harmed." She said the wildest place she has made love was "on a horse-and carriage ride, going through the city at summertime."
