Chloe Bennet (born Chloe Wang) actually got her start in music before making it into television. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to a Chinese-American father and a Jewish American mother on
April 18, 1992. She also has six brothers, three of which were adopted. When she was only fifteen, Chloe decided that it was time to get her music career of the ground, so she moved to Beijing, China for the opportunity to do just that. While she was there, she first learned the Mandarin language. In doing so, she was able to release her first hit single, which was titled "Uh Oh," in both Mandarin and her native English.
"Uh Oh" soon became a hit, with music videos also being released in two languages. From here, Chloe came out with another single, "Every Day In Between," only this time, it was only released in English. Soon after, she moved back to the U.S. and began auditioning for acting roles in Los Angeles, California. In 2010, she was cast as one of the reporters on TeenNick's "The Nightlife."
Chloe's acting career really began to take shape in 2012, when she was first cast in the TV movie, "Intercept," and then played the recurring role of Hailey on the first season of the ABC drama, "Nashville." Of course, all of this was small potatoes compared to what was to come. After auditioning six different times for the role, Chloe finally won the part of Skye on the ABC series, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which is a direct spin-off of the Marvel comics "The Avengers" films. The series was quickly picked up for a second season after record breaking premiere numbers.
