Though her countrymen know her as the winner of the Miss Universe Albania in 2010, she is probably best known to American audiences for her participation in the 2008 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her measurements are 34C-24-35. Her father is an engineer and her mother is a teacher.

Though Angela Martini was born in Albania, when she was nine, her family moved to Switzerland, and she is Swiss citizen, as well. She now lives in New York City. She told Esquire Turkey that she knew as a little girl she would one day come to America and model.

While in Switzerland, modeling scouts approached Angela Martini, but she couldn't model before the age of 18, as her parents wouldn't allow it. But at 18, she signed on with Option Modeling in Switzerland, and the rest is history.

Angela Martini was named one of the 200 most important people in Switzerland in 2010 and in 2011 by Who is Who in Zurich.

In her free time, Angela likes to go to the gym or do yoga. "I also love watching movies and hanging out with my girlfriends, going to dinners, and I love to read when I have alone time."

Angela Martini said of the qualities she seeks in a boyfriend: "When a man can make the missing puzzle pieces work, he's my personal hero. I want someone that can take me higher. When I'm down he can pick me back up again." She added that the most important thing in her relationships is "Fearlessness. We can be in our own world and we can write our own love story that has never been written before or no one has seen or heard before. We can be partners, grow together.we can love each other for who we really are, not for somebody you hope the person to be. Mental stimulation for sure; you can't be boring; you need action and adventure."

Angela Martini also said "every woman is sexy. Every woman has it inside; it is our nature as women to be sexy and beautiful. It just comes out naturally. Every woman should think about herself that she is sexy. Of course you are! You're a woman."

Angela Martini has launched her own business, The Martini Corporation and is creating Martini Bikini, her own bikini line.
