Though born in New York, Amanda Booth grew up as an army brat, and moved 30 times before she was 18. In 2008, she drove cross-country to become an actress and has since landed in about 40 commercials. She has also appeared on the soap “The Bold and the Beautiful,” the TV comedy series “Community” and voiced a role in the video game “L.A. Noire.”
Amanda Booth told Playboy as for living in Los Angeles that “the Hollywood Sign still makes me gasp. I’ll be rushing around to auditions, then look up, see it and think, My God, I’m actually here doing what I always dreamed of doing, in this magical land.”
She said she got into modeling initially because she wanted to learn more about photography. “But it didn’t come easily. I wasn’t scouted. I’m not as slim as the girls in New York and not as curvacious as the girls in L.A." She added regarding nudity in her Playboy shoot: "I was comfortbale with it…[I said to myself] this is going to end up looking beautiful." Being a February Playmate, she said, was perfect for her. “I’m truly in love with love. I’m the biggest ball of love, ever. If my pictorial provides some saucy inspiration to the lovers out there, then it will be a big mission accomplished.”
As a model she likes to become a character, and said giving people love and making people feel loved is the most powerful gift a human can give to anyone.
Amanda Booth described herself as “sweet and shy, but if you get me in a situation with some candles and body oil, I’m a freak in the bed.”
Her ambitions are to “live in Los Angeles with a few movies under my belt and perhaps have a pug farm!” Her turn-ons are “clean hands and a sweaty body. Oh, a good work ethic and tattoos help, too.” Her turn-offs are “any gratuitous display of wealth – a secure man doesn’t need to talk about things.”
Her Hollywood envy is, “I’d steal Natalie Portman’s respect, Jennifer Aniston’s love and Cameron Diaz’s laughs.” Her motto is “I’d rather have tea and biscuits and be happy, than steak and potatoes and be miserable.” Amanda Booth is currently single.
