No Doubt Pulled Their Video For “Looking Hot” Because It Was Apparently Racist

No Doubt – Looking Hot by jimihubabua

After receiving from the Native American community and other people with sticks up their asses claiming racism and cultural insensitivity, No Doubt has pulled their video for “Looking Hot” and is now apologizing. In the video that takes place in the Old West, Gwen Stefani wears a headdress, gets tied up, and fights cowboys. OH THE RACISM!! Us Magazine reports:

“As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history,” Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont explained on the band’s official website. “Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately.”

Look, I’m Native American and…uhhhh….everybody needs to chill out. I’ve watched this video three times now, and I’m still trying to figure out how this is racist. It’s not like she’s wearing a green visor and dealing poker while hungover and eating Spam. She’s dressed as a sexy Native. To be honest, we could use a a few of those. Even if they’re blonde. But you know what’s actually racist? The Washington Redskins. That’s so racist I’m surprised their tackling dummies aren’t wooden Indians.
