Although it is true that the real beauty comes from the inside, there’s nothing wrong with admiring the outside once in a while. Year after year, the renowned People magazine, has been searching for the most beautiful women among celebrities and they’ve gathered quite a collection. While you might not always agree with their choices (every man to his taste), you can’t deny the fact that these women are indeed beautiful and influential enough to mesmerize millions of people through the TV screen or stage. Take a look at some of the beauties that were featured on the magazine cover in the last decade.
Drew Barrymore
First up is Drew Barrymore, an actress that came to prominence way back in 1982, when she appeared in Steven Spielberg’s film E.T. about a small, funny-looking alien who crash landed on Earth and is trying to find his way back home. Barrymore was just seven years old at the time, but she still delivered an incredible performance that stayed with her throughout her career. Her career in film wasn’t much of a surprise, considering she came from a well-known acting family Barrymore, her grandfather being John Barrymore, who was considered one of the greatest American tragedian. During the 90s, she appeared in a number of films and in 2007, she was finally featured on the cover of the People magazine as the most beautiful woman that year. Christina Applegate
For those of you who don’t know the name Christina Applegate, you’ve probably never been a huge fan of the TV show Married with Children, where she starred as the hot young daughter in the Bundy family. After the show ended, she easily found her way to Hollywood and appeared in a number of films, mostly comedies like the insane Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. What made Christina such an attractive choice for many producers was her blonde hair and the trademark tearful look. Even now, at the age of 45, she’s still quite a beautiful woman. However, back in 2008, Applegate faced a horrible illness and had to undergo a double mastectomy to free herself from cancer. This didn’t affect her well-known high spirits and in 2009, she was named the most beautiful woman by the People magazine, both for her outstanding beauty and her strength to carry on.
Jennifer Lopez
Although she was at her peak back in the 90s, it wasn’t until 2011 that Jennifer Lopez was officially named the most beautiful woman in the world by the People magazine. You might not know this, but Lopez actually started her career as a backup dancer for the New Kids on the Block, and then made her way to the movies. Her first noted performance was in a thriller Blood and Wine, with the legendary Jack Nicholson, but she really made a breakthrough thanks to her role of Selena in 1997. She played a young, promising singer whose life tragically ended when she was just 23. After this, she appeared in a number of big hits including Anaconda, U Turn, Out of Sight, and other movies. In fact, she published her first single in 1999, the famous “If You Had My Love,” and slowly started off her music career she’s mostly recognized for now. There’s no denying that Jennifer Lopez is one of the most craved for women in the world and at 47, she only seems to be more and more attractive.
