Tristin Mays is an American actress, model, and singer. She is known for her roles on series such as "Private" and "The Vampire Diaries," as well as films including "Thunderstruck" and "The Wedding Ringer."
Tristin Mays was born in New Orleans on June 10, 1990, but grew up in Staten Island, New York. It was while there that she decided to take up modeling at a young age. Soon enough, she was signed with Ford Modeling Agency and quickly became one of their top child models in the country. Modeling gigs would eventually lead to commercial roles for products such as Kraft Cheese, Play Skool, Kool-Aid, Sunkist, McDonald's and HERSHEY'S, among many others. Her newfound love of acting would then lead Tristin down a new path entirely.
After landing small gigs on shows like "Harambee!" and "Gullah, Gullah Island" in 1996 and 1997, respectively, Tristin caught her first big break in the acting world in 2001, when she was cast as Robin Dixon on ABC's "Alias," which would go on to be a recurring role. She would then go on to play Taylor Bell on the series "Private" in 2009, paving the way for later roles on series such as "Zeke and Luther" and "Fail." But television is merely a stepping stone on the path of an aspiring actress, and by 2012, she was cast in her first film role as Isabel in "Thunderstuck." This was followed by roles in films like "She is Not My Sister," "Happy Birthday!," and 2015's "The Wedding Ringer." The same year, she was also cast in the role of Sarah on The CW series "The Vampire Diaries."
Along with her modeling and acting, Tristin is also a very talented vocalist. Along with being a member of the group Jane3, she has also starred in numerous Broadway productions. Most notably, she played Young Nala in the production of Disney's "The Lion King."
