BioShe made her television debut in 2004 on Medical Investigation portraying Belinda. Other roles followed, including appearances in Cold Case, Judging Amy, Huff, Ugly Betty, Big Love and Sons of Anarchy, among others. Notably, she moved to Los Angeles not to be an actor, but a dancer. Sarah Jones said, I danced for a long time thinking thats what I was going to do with my life, and life had other plans. I try not to question why I am where Im at too much, ya know? I over analyze enough as it is. She added, I just happened to fall into acting and really enjoyed it.
But it was probably her role on Alcatraz that garnered her the most attention. Sarah Jones describes how she landed the job: Im pretty sure I was in the last resort groupit was literally a couple days before Thanksgiving and they just said, All right, whos left in Hollywood that can get in here. So I went in and auditioned (collider.com).
Sarah Jones told the Orlando Sentinel, When you get to play a strong female character, its a lot more fun than playing a damsel in distress or the girl next door. When you get the opportunity to play one of J.J. Abrams heroines, youre going to be playing someone who is her own woman and very independent and makes her own rules. Its such a pleasure to play.
When asked whats been her favorite guest role, Sarah Jones said, Sons of Anarchy has to take first place. I had so much fun that summer. The cast was so welcoming and kind. She added about her starring role in Alcatraz: This is the first time Ive been No. 1 on the call sheet. Its a bit surreal. I try not to think about it, to be perfectly honest.
To prepare for her role, she took up boxing and started running.
Sarah Jones lives in Los Angeles and loves it because some of my favorite people live here, my dogs, the abundance of good Mexican food, when the air smells like jasmine and citrus blossoms in the spring (particularly lovely when the dogs and I are on a walk), the sunshine, the warm weather, the Rose Bowl, the antique and vintage stores (huffingtonpost.com).
After Alcatraz was cancelled, Sarah Jones booked a part on Vegas, portraying the daughter of one of Chicagos most powerful men.
