Probably most well known to American audiences for her role as Doreah on “Game of Thrones,” Roxanne McKee is a Canadian-born English model and actress.
Though born in Canada, Roxanne McKee was raised in England. She wrote on Twitter in 2013, “Actress. I like bananas.”
In 2003, she earned a degree in Social Policy & Political Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. In order to save for school, she worked a variety of jobs, including as a waitress and a recruitment consultant. But she rose to prominence by winning “Hollyoaks on the Pull,” a Channel 4 initiative to discover new talent. After she won, she was cast as Louise Summers on the soap opera “Hollyoaks.”
She said, “I love playing a bad girl – it means I can vent all my frustration!”

For her work on “Hollyoaks,” Roxanne McKee won the Digital Spy Soap Awards for Sexiest Female, the British Soap Awards for Sexiest Female, and the Inside Soap Awards for Sexiest Female.
Roxanne McKee has been featured in a variety of magazines, including Loaded, Maxim and FHM.
Her dream role, she said, has already been taken by Keira Knightley in ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ “Growing up I really wanted to be Lizzie Bennett.”
In 2008, Roxanne McKee quit the show. She said, “I enjoyed ‘Hollyoaks’ and I would never say anything bad about it…it gave me a platform and I will always be thankful for it…but I do think it’s important that when you come out of a soap operate people see you in a different light.” Subsequent roles included appearances in music videos and a horror film, and a bisexual character in “EastEnders: E20.”
Roxanne McKee said in 2008, “I don’t really get star struck - we’re only people at the end of the day.”
Roxanne then landed the part of Doreah on “Game of Thrones.” She said, “It’s so exciting to be part of such a huge project. It’s incredible. It’s amazing.” Her first episode appearance was “The Kingsroad,” and her last was “Valar Morghulis.”
When not filming, Roxanne McKee lives in London, England.
