Rita Sahatciu Ora is a British singer-songwriter probably best known for her 2012 debut album Ora, which included the popular songs “Hot Right Now,” “How We Do (Party)” and “R.I.P.” She was born to Kosovar-Albanian parents and then moved to the United Kingdom when she was a year old. Apparently she was named after her film director grandfather, Besim Sahatciu’s favorite film star, Rita Hayworth.
Rita was born the second of two girls in war-torn Kosovo. Her mother, father and elder sister moved to London before her first birthday. "I wasn’t made to feel aware of what we had come from," she says, "but obviously when you grow up you get to learn something of what your parents went through to get you where you are today. I owe them everything."

Rita Ora began singing at age six. "What drew me most to singing was the fact that I could make a noise that made me feel good about myself. I used to sing poems. It was just about doing something that inspired a reaction. It was about self-esteem, even back then, at a young age. I made a noise, the reaction was positive. Simple as that. I could sing my feelings. It was a new, exciting way of expressing myself. This brand new communication device. I understood the power of it straight away." She has a mezzo-soprano vocal range.
As far as her social media popularity, Rita Ora said, “I love sharing my life with my followers. Hopefully, they are following me because they genuinely want to know me. It's a way to connect with fans that wasn't available just a few years ago.”
Even more than her music are the rumors that swirl around her dating life. She’s been linked to a variety of famous guys, including Bruno Mars, Robert Kardashian, Jr., Evan Ross, Calvin Harris and Ricky Hil. It’s been rumored that she had a relationship with Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne.
She dyes her hair blonde, though her natural color is dark brown. She’ll also soon appear in the film “Fifty Shades of Grey” as the adopted sister of S&M master Christian Grey.
Rita Ora is currently not married and resides in London, England, though she travels frequently.
