BioPippa was born on September 6, 1983 and served as maid of honor to her sister's wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Pippa Middleton is known as much for being married into royalty as she is for her fashion sense and her derriere. Her rear-end even sparked a plastic surgery craze called the "Pippa Butt Lift" (huffingtonpost.com).
In fact, Pippa's derriere was named People's Top Body Moment of 2011. It inspired multiple Facebook fan pages and its own Twitter feed.
Pippa is daughter to Michael Middleton, a former flight dispatcher and Carole, a former flight attendant. Pippa's parent subsequently set up a company, "Party Pieces," which made party bags, supplies and decorations. They have since became millionaires.
Pippa Middleton went to St. Andrew's School, Pangbourne and Down House School. She also attended Marlborough College on a sports scholarship. Pippa later graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in English literature.
After she graduated, Pippa worked at a public relations firm. She currently works at her parents' company and edits a web magazine entitled "Party Times."
Pippa Middleton made a deal to write a book about party planning. It was published in October 2012 and is called "Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends." A portion reads: "I frequently celebrate Halloween over a supper with friends. It's a wonderful excuse to let your imagination run riot with gory-looking food and special effects."
Pippa wrote "It is a bit startling to achieve global recognition before the age of 30 on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom. One day I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime, I think it's fair to say that is has its upside and it downside." One of the downsides may be Karl Lagerfeld saying, "I don't like [Pippa's] face. She should only show her back."
Pippa admitted while on her book tour that she was a "tomboy." Pippa Middleton actually turned down a series of big interviews about her new book as she didn't want to seem to be "cashing in" on her sister's fame, or to be asked questions about Kate's topless pictures.
Pippa's friends have been dubbed "The Pipparettes" by the UK press because of their fierce loyalty to her (people.com). Said royals author Alisande Healy Orme, "She's a girl who's not frightened to be seen."
Pippa Middleton lives in the United Kingdom.
