Peyton was born in Boston Massachusetts to parents Sherri Anderson and Douglas List on August 8, 1986. She has an older sister as well by the name of Brittany, who grew up to be a model in Germany. Peyton’s parents raised her and her sister in Baltimore, Maryland.

At 8-years-old, Peyton and her sister joined the modeling agency “Camera Ready Kids.” This opened doors for her at a young age to appear in films such as “Washington Square” and “Enemy of the State,” albeit in very small roles. Through the agency, she was also booking commercial gigs for products such as Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and Little Monkey Lost.

At age 12, Peyton began attending the School of American Ballet’s summer program in New York City. With all of this experience under her belt, it wasn’t long before she was signed by the Ford Kids modeling agency. In addition to landing her campaigns for Limited Too, Polo Ralph Lauren, and other advertising, she began modeling for Clean & Clear and Dooney & Burke. She was even on the cover of magazines such as  “Your Prom,” Bridal Guide,” and “Girls’ Life.” She graced the cover of “Girls’ Life” so many times, in fact, that she actually held the record.

While she booked a few minor appearances on television shows “Sex and the City” and “Law & Order: SVU,” it wasn’t until 2002 that she landed her first major role as Lucy Montgomery on the soap opera “As the World Turns.” This led to her first feature film role in the golf drama “The Greatest Game Ever Played” in 2005.

Ever since her contract on “As the World Turns” ended in 2004, Peyton has had no trouble finding work in both television and film. She went on to have recurring roles in several TV series including “Windfall,” “Day Break,” “90210,” and, most recently, “Mad Men.” She even played on of the lead roles in ABC’s FlashForward. As for films, she’s starred in the horror thriller “Shuttle,” as well “Meeting Evil” with Samuel L. Jackson and Luke Wilson.
