Mikaela Hoover is an American television and film actress. She is known for appearing on series such as "Happy Endings" and "Two and a Half Men," as well as films like "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Mikaela Hoover was born on July 12, 1984 in Spokane, Washington. By 2 years old, she was already taking dancing lessons, and began starring in local plays and television commercials soon after. As a high schooler, she played both the looks and the brains as not only a member of the cheer squad and captain of the dance team, but also one of the spots on the debate team. She went on to be accepted at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she majored in theatre.
As gorgeous as Mikaela is, you'd think she had no trouble breaking out into acting. As it turns out, you'd be correct, as she booked the very first role she auditioned for in the film "Frank." Of course, this is not to say she had zero experience going in, as she had starred on the webseries "Sami Has 7 Friends" one year prior in 2006. By 2008, she booked her first starring role on a TV series, playing Madison Westerbrook on "Sorority Forever." This, in turn, led to numerous guest roles on popular series such as "How I Met Your Mother," "Happy Endings," and "Anger Management."
One things that sets Mikaela apart from other actresses is her long-running relationship with director James Gunn. After shooting the pilot "Sparky & Mikaela" with him in 2008, she has gone on to work with him on numerous other projects including "Super" and "Guardians of the Galaxy." Aside from these roles, she has also starred in short films like "2 Man 3 Way" and "Fleshlightning."
