Kirsten Prout is a Canadian-born actress. She is most famous for her roles on such ABC Family series as "Kyle XY" and "The Lying Game." She also starred in 2010's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
Kirsten Prout was born on September 28, 1990 in Vancouver, Canada. As a child, she remembered a particular 2nd grade teacher who tried to stifle her creativity, so as a way of lashing out, she aked her mother to not only let her begin taking acting lessons, but also learn Tae Kwon Do. As a result, she soon began to book small guest appearances on several shows in her native vancouver, including "Stargate SG-1" and "Stephen King's Dead Zone." However, as far as the Tae Kwon Do was concerned, that would end up coming in handy a few years later when she booked her first feature film roll.
In 2005, Kirsten was cast in the Marvel Comics-based film, "Elektra," which was a spin-off of the film, "Daredevil." While the film itself was a complete failure all around, it did allow her to show off some of her martial arts skills, as she performed her own stunts in the movie. The movie role also gained her more exposure, which came in handy when booking the part of Amanda Bloom on ABC Family's successful "Kyle XY," which wound up running for three seasons. Her character's popularity would also lead to her being cast in the ever popular "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
The very same year as her "Twilight" debut, Kirsten landed the part of the troubled Alex Bell in the TV movie, "My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2," in 2010. The film went on to spawn one more sequel, "My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 3," completing the trilogy. Of course, by that time, Kirsten had already been cast in ABC family's "The Lying Game," which lasted one season on the network.
