Kerry Bishe grew up in New Jersey, where she attended Montclair Kimberley Academy, a day school that her father, Kenneth, also taught Social Studies. From there, she continued to hone her acting skills while attending Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 2002. In the summer of 2004, Kerry began touring professionally with the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, and then furthered her acting career by starring in such off-Broadway productions as My Name is Rachel Corrie and Eugene O'Neill's The Hairy Ape. Soon enough, she was making her Broadway debut in George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion.

Of course, like most aspiring actresses, Kerry eventually decided to expand her horizons and began auditioning for roles in film and television. her first film roles came in the low-budget production, "The Half Life of Mason Lake," where she played a character named Sarah Rosen. From there, she continued booking gigs in films such as "The Lucky Ones" and "Sex and the City" before starring in the TV movie, "Night Life." Kerry got to know the director of the film, Zach Braff, well enough that it wound up leading to her career elevating role as Lucy Bennett on the ninth and final season of "Scrubs," which Braff also starred in a select few episodes of.

Since her role on "Scrubs," Kerry has landed a series of high-profile acting gigs in films such as Kevin Smith's "Red State" and "Argo," which went on to win numerous awards, most notably the Academy Award for "Best Picture." Since then, Kerry's star has been on the rise, and even lead to a starring role on the AMC series, "Halt and Catch Fire," in 2014.
