Katherine Bailess is an American actress. She is known for her roles on television series such as "One Tree Hill" and VH1's "Hit the Floor," as well as films like "From Justin to Kelly" and "Bring It On Again."
It's not often that your interests and hobbies as a child factor into your career in your adult life, but such is the case with Katherine Bailess. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on April 24, 1980, she grew up studying classical dance by age four and eventually moving onto gymnastics and cheerleading. Considering that she would go on to star on the VH1 series "Hit the Floor" in 2013, which centers on the Los Angeles 'Devil Girl' Professional Basketball Dancers, she couldn't have been more prepared for her role. Of course, her skills also came in handy nearly ten years prior when she was cast in one her first films "Bring It On Again."
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though. Katherine had done much more with her dancing between age four and the present. In fact, along with performing a live, televised dance number during the the Miss Mississippi Pageant when she was only 11, she went on to study at both the Broadway Dance Center in New York City and Ann Reinking's Broadway Theater Project in Florida. And that was just the beginning. After this, she attended St. Francis Xavier Convent School and St. Aloysius Catholic High School enrolling at Marymount Manhattan College to study even more musical theatre and dance. Still not having had enough, Katherine continued her dance training through William Esper Studio's two-year intensive program.

With all that out of the way, she could now focus more on her acting career, which saw roles in less dance-oriented films like "Sea of Fear" and "2 Dead 2 Kill" as well as shows like "One Tree Hill" and "Sordid Lives: The Series." Considering she originally hailed from the south, the fact that she also maintains a country music career in her spare time should come as no surprise.
