BioShe comes from Italian ancestry and her last name translates to "cook" in Italian.
Kaley Cuoco began her career with a Barbie commercial. Asked if it made her popular at the time, Kaley said, "It was the opposite, actually. I wouldn't say I was bullied, but I was definitely a bit of an outcast. It was more the kids thinking I thought I was cool. I started homeschooling in fifth grade and I was much happier" (parade.com).
As a child, Kaley Cuoco was a tennis player, but gave up the sport when she was 16.
Kaley's first TV role was in 1992's "Quicksand: No Escape" opposite Donald Sutherland. Her first feature film was "Virtuosity" at the age of 8. She's had guest spots on numerous shows including "My So-Called Life," and "Northern Exposure."
Kaley Cuoco appeared in the film "Growing Up Brady" and the CBS sitcom "Ladies Man." She later joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules" and "Charmed." But it was her role on "The Big Bang Theory" that made her a star. On set, they have Ping-Pong competitions, "and there have been lots of fights. I'm the most competitive person you'll ever meet."
Kaley Cuoco admits "I had acne as a teen and it made me so insecure to be on camera " not a good thing when you are on a television series." She also loves chocolate. As her Twitter says, she's an actress, animal lover, avid spinner, Ping-Pong champion, technology obsessed, and reality TV enthusiast.
In 2010, Kaley Cuoco broke her leg in a horse-riding accident and missed a couple episodes in order to recuperate.
Kaley said, "I went into the Cheesecake Factory.and I'm always like, 'Why is everyone looking at me?' And they are saying, 'Do you know anything about the Cheesecake Factory? We love you. We love you.' And I always forget that my character works there. They always give me funny looks, but it's very cute" (delcomag.com).
While working on "The Big Bang Theory," Kaley Cuoco secretly dated co-star Johnny Galecki for two years. When she is not working, she likes to run, hike, bowl, and spend time with her dogs. She is involved with the charities Animal Avengers, PETA and the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Kaley Cuoco lives in Sherman Oaks, California.
