Jorgie Porter is an English actress. She is most famous for starring as Theresa McQueen on the Channel 4 soap opera "Hollyoaks." She was also named one of FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" in 2011.
Born on Christmas day back in 1987, actress Jorgie Alexandra Porter of "Hollyoaks" fame was raised by her mother and grandmother, having only met her father once in her life. Growing up, she became very interested in ballet dancing. However, due to her weight at the time, she was told by her ballet school that she was too big to be a dancer, a subject that would later in life reveal to have not kept the stunning blonde down.
Back in November, 2008, Jorgie was announced to have been cast in the role of Theresa McQueen on the incredibly popular British soap opera "Hollyoaks," a role she would initially go on to play for nearly five years. In October 2013, she told her fans she would be leaving the series now that her contract had run out.Of course, since she was such a popular character to the series, she announced her return in April 2014.
Outside of her role on "Hollyoaks" and as previously mentioned, dancing would come into play in a big way for Jorgie's career later in life. In August 2011, the young actress participated as a contestant on the ITV celebrity reality series "Born to Shine." While she did not end up making the finals, her appearance on the series did pave the way for Jorgie to then become a contestant on another popular British dancing series "Dancing on Ice" during the show's seventh season. Paired with skater Matt Evers, she went on to place second that year. Since she was such a popular guest, she was asked back during the show's final season, as well, although this time she was voted out in the first week.
Along with her TV career, Jorgie has appeared in such magazines as Sugar and FHM. In 2011, she also ranked 50th on FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" list.
