Jennifer Christina Finnigan is a Canadian actress probably best known for roles on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” earning her 3 Daytime Emmy wins. She has also been in a variety of other series, including “Crossing Jordan” and “Close to Home.” She is set to appear in the FX drama pilot “Tyrant.”

She was raised in Montreal, and as a child she modeled as well as acted. She was involved in local productions and school plays. She starred in the Canadian TV series “Student Bodies” before she moved to Los Angeles.

As a native Canadian from Montreal, Jennifer speaks fluent French. Her hobbies include writing, singing, piano lessons, swing dancing and travelling. Some of her favorite music includes Billie Holiday and Etta James. And her favorite actress is Katharine Hepburn.
She met her husband, actor Jonathan Silverman, after Matthew Perry introduced them at a barbecue. “I am not generally attracted to people until I talk to them. So, as the party subsided…we talked for 12 hours, and it was then that I knew he was the man for me.”
Jonathan proposed to her in a New Zealand rain forest. They appeared together on the TNT series “Monday Mornings.” As for working on a medical drama, she said, “I love being so educated. Prior to this, I was very afraid of hospitals. And now I walk in with a certain amount of knowledge and relaxation, because I know what I’m getting into.”
As for working with her husband on the same show, Jennifer said, “It’s nice, but I always worry about spending too much time together, all day and all night…at first, I was a little fearful, but it became a joy. We commuted to work together a couple of times, but they barely ever wrote scenes for us together. We were like ships passing in the night.”
