Regina "Jenna" Marie Fischer was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 7, 1974, but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Interesting in acting from a very young age, it was when she was just six years old that she took her first acting class. The class was taught by her mother, actress Anne Fischer, and was also attended by actor Sean Gunn. At the time, this meant nothing, but in he year 2000, Jenna wound up marrying Sean's brother, James. The two would later divorce in 2008, and Jenna would go on to marry Lee Kirk two years later.

Getting back on track, Jenna would eventually go on to attend the all-girls Nerinx Hall High School in Webster Groves, Missouri before attaining her bachelor of arts in theater at Truman State University. In 1998, she made her onscreen debut in the film, "Born Champion," and then continued to land small roles on shows such as "Spin City" and "Undeclared" before deciding to take her career into her own hands. In 2004, Jenna wrote, directed, and starred in the film, "Lollilove" along with her then husband, James Gunn.

The following year, Jenna wound up receiving the role that would go on to change her entire career on the TV series, "The Office." From here, her career truly began to take shape, and soon she was starring in such comedy films as "Blades of Glory," "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," and "Hall Pass," all of which saw their share of success. Jenna even went on to be nominated for an Emmy in 2007 for her "The Office" role.
