Isabeli Fontana is a beautiful brunette model from Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.
She had wanted to be a model since she were a child and her dream came true at 13 when she was a finalist in the Elite Model Look contest. This is the same contest that discovered fellow supermodel and Brazilian Gisele Bundchen. The following year Fontana moved to Milan, Italy to pursue her career. Three years later, in 1999, she was featured in the Victoria's Secret catalogue and her career took off. Despite the controversy of modeling for Victoria's Secret at the young age of 16, she began to get offers from top designers. She signed with Ralph Lauren, Versace, and several other coveted lines. In a world where age means everything, Fontana continues to appear in countless campaigns even after a decade in the industry.
Since her debut into the industry, she has garnered many accomplishments. She is currently the face of Viktor & Rolf's fragrance Flowerbomb. Fontana was also featured as one of the top earning models in the world, with Forbes ranking her at #1,1 having earned $3 million.
She has fronted campaigns for Hermes, Versace, and Valentino, to name a few. In an interview with Elle Magazine, she said, "I don't think of myself as pretty. I am what I am." She has walked the runways of New York Fashion Week for thirteen years in a row and continues to represent designers at their seasonal shows in New York, Paris, and Milan.
2009 marked Fontana's third appearance for the famed Pirelli Calendar. She was photographed by Peter Beard and modeled alongside Lara Stone, Elisa Sadnaoui, and other celbrities and models. Fontana will be featured in the 2014 Calendar for it's 50th Anniversary Edition.
Isabeli Fontana is featured in the 2002 and 2003 Sports Illustrated Swim Suit editions. More than a decade later, she will be featured in the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition. Production for this edition has already began.
Due to her popularity, Fontana's private life has become quite private. She grew up attending private Catholic school in Curitiba. She has considers herself to be a non-practising Roman Catholic. She was married to fellow model Alvaro Jacomossi. She had a son, Zion, in 2003 with Jacomossi; however, they divorced a year later. Subsequently, Fontana married actor and model Henri Castelli in 2005. Her son Lucas was born on October 23, 2006. Fontana and Castelli divorced the in 2007. Fontana was briefly engaged to Rohan Marley, entreprenur and son to Bob Marley, but their engagment ended in 2012.
