While not as well known in the States, Holly Marie Willoughby is becoming a British institution; she’s a British TV presenter and model who is sometimes known by her nickname “Holly Willough-booby.” In 2012 she was voted “World’s Most Desirable Woman” by an annual Ask Men poll.
Holly Willloughby has hosted “”This Morning,” “The Voice,” “The Xtra Factor,” “Dancing on Ice,” “Streetmate” and also worked as a magician’s’ assistant. In July of 2013, the BBC actually apologized to viewers in regards to the low-cut dress Holly wore for “The Voice.”
Holly grew up in Brighton, England, the younger of two girls. Her father managed a double-glazing firm while her mother was a flight attendant. While on a school trip at the age of 14, she was “discovered” by a modeling scout. “I guess that’s every girl’s dream, so it did go to my head a little bit at that age. But it wasn’t as if I was doing sexy shoots…straight away. I was doing adverts for Always sanitary towels, and had to keep that as quiet as possible.”
As a model, Holly Willoughby appeared in campaigns for Pretty Polly, Rimmel and Always.

She attended an all-girls school, “and the moment any of us saw a man we all went feral. It was the most exciting thing in the world, and I’d run up to them and go, “Hello, hello, talk to me, I’m a model, are you a real boy?”
Modeling helped her segue into television. She went to a casting call for “S Club TV,” where she landed a role. More presenting roles soon followed, including “Ministry of Mayhem” (in which she wore a French maid outfit) and “CD: UK.” She said of her time on children’s TV, “There’s very little pressure in kids’ TV. No one’s on your case. If you mess up, no one cares.” She added, “The guests had to stay with us overnight, and it was like being on tour. We’d all be put up in this hotel with the celebrity guests, so of course it went bonkers.”
One day on kids’ live TV, she danced and “I look down to see my boob is bouncing around. The producers panicked and scratched the music off.”

FHM ranked her No. 71 in their Sexiest Woman in the World in 2005, and in 2008 she reached the No. 30 spot.
Holly Willoughby said, “I am such a slob at the weekend. It’s hair back, no make-up. I just can’t be bothered. There’s no time. But people are used to seeing you in make-up so when you go bare-faced, you see people looking at you a little bit concerned, like, ‘Is everything all right?’”
In 2007, she married British TV producer Dan Baldwin (not to be confused with the American Baldwin clan). They have two children, Harry and Belle.
Holly Willoughby and her family reside in London.
