Fiona Wade is an English television actress. She is known best for her roles on such series as "Emmerdale," "24Seven," and "Grange Hill."
Fiona Wade is an actress who has dipped her toes in a little bit of everything. After getting her start in television as an extra on the TV series "Grange Hill," she became a full-fledged regular by the very next year. This, of course, went on to land her the role she is best known for today as Priya Sharma on the popular British soap opera "Emmerdale." But just because she has since become famous for her television roles, that doesn't mean that is the only medium she likes to show off her talents in.
Fiona has quite an impressive list of stage acting credits to her name. She has played Kim in Miss Saigon in both the England and Sweden, Gujarati Preethi in Strictly Dandia (based on Romeo & Juliet) at the Lyric Theatre in London, Marie in West Side Story, and the titular role of Cinderalla in England as well. In March of 2005, she played Princess Anjuli in the West End musical adaptation of The Far Pavilions. Since then, she went on to play Mamta in Alaska at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in 2008.
Her love of theater, especially that of the musical variety, has also lead Fiona to take an interest in eventually releasing a studio music album at some point in the future. Even though acting is what she is known best for, she's said that singing is her true passion. She even worked alongside Kylie Minogue on one of her pop albums back in October 2002.
