Eve took up acting against her mother’s wishes because she wanted her kids to avoid being in the spotlight. Said Eve, “Both my parents were against it…the rejection is awful, the competition is terrifying and you’re constantly up and down.”
Eve made her acting debut in the 2005 short film “Lost and Found.” Her feature debut came in the 2008 film “The 27 Club.”
Eve said about acting, “You can’t fake it. If you’re up there on the screen saying those lines and you’re bad, then you’re bad and no director is going to sacrifice his movie and cast me in it just because he wants to meet my dad.”
Eve also tries to stay away from reading things on the Internet, which probably explains her lack of a social media presence. “The negative stuff is mostly on the internet, which I don’t read. Except on very sad days.”
A bit of trivia: she is allergic to gluten. Eve Hewson currently resides in New York City.
